Speaking using visual aids: powerpoint, posters or an outfit.
Choose a topic and find information about it to help you write your own speech the best you can.
You can choose one of the suggested topics below or come up with a topic of your choice.
Suggested Topics:
*My favorite animals or pets.
*My favorite artist or band.
*My favorite sports and players.
*What I want to be when I grow up.
*Friendship: What is a good friend?
*Natural disasters: Tsunamis, Earthquakes, Volcanos, etc.
*Tell a legend or myth in your words.
*Describe a person you admire.
*Videogames: Are they good or bad for children?
2nd Part: Speaking
Memorize your speech well and speak out loud.
Use eye contact with the audience to sound convincing.
Use visual aids like slides, posters, pictures, costumes, etc.
Third graders should speak 1 minute to 2 minutes.
Fourth graders should speak 1 minute 30 to 2 minutes 30.
Fifth grade should speak 1 minute 30 to 2 minutes 30.
Chronogramme:
September 8th to 19th : Project development in classroom.
*Students will bring information to write down their speeches.
September 22nd to 26th: In-class Semifinals.
*Students from each classroom will be selected to compete on the Final.
September 30th- October 1st and 2nd: The Final.
Awards and diplomas will be given in public at the closing ceremony of this year.
